Amanda Peet marries one lucky screenwriter

The Whole Nine Yards and Studio 60 star Amanda Peet and screenwriter David Benioff were married in New York City on Saturday evening, according to People.

The bride and groom exchanged vows in a ceremony held at the actress's alma mater, Friends Seminary, a Quaker school founded in 1786. Among the guests at the event were actor Mark Ruffalo and his wife Sunrise, actress Elizabeth Berkley and her artist husband Greg Lauren.

The couple, who have been dating for four years, are expecting their first child.

Days of Our Lives co-stars tie the knot

Days of Our Lives costars Billy Warlock and Julie Pinson were married in Las Vegas Saturday after being engaged twice, their rep told PEOPLE. The intimate ceremony was attended by family and close friends. The couple were originally set to marry in 1999, but broke off their engagement shortly before the wedding. They rekindled their romance last year when Warlock's character, Frankie Brady, returned to the NBC soap, on which Pinson has played Billie Reed since 2004.

Former Savage Garden frontman marries his boo

Truly. Madly. Deeply. Indeed. Former-Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes married his boyfriend of two years, Richard Cullen, last month. "I can honestly say it was the happiest day of my life," writes Hayes of the civil partnership ceremony, which took place in London. "I feel lucky to live in an era where my relationship can be considered legally legitimate, and I commend the U.K. government for embracing this very basic civil liberty."

After the ceremony, a reception was held over the weekend at a country hotel. "It was a magical mystery tour," Hayes's friend, stage designer Willie Williams, told People. "We didn't know where we were going but we were told to bring a toothbrush. We went by coach, west to Hampshire, to a hotel, and had a great fun weekend and some relatives came over from Australia. It was fun to have the two families all there."Unlike the bigoted U.S., Britain legalized civil partnerships in December 2005 (Think Elton’s big bash!).

Avril Lavigne wed Deryck Whibley, does that mean she's now Mrs. Whibley?

Apparently, anti-pop pop princess Avril Lavigne has found a St8er boi who is good enough for her and gotten her own happy ending. (Oye, that sentence was intense!)

According to People, Avril married Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley at a private estate in Montecito, Calif.

The wedding took place in an outdoor, non-denominational ceremony and Lavigne was walked down the aisle by her father to Mendelssohn's "Wedding March."Avril, who is known for her hits like “Sk8er boi,” “Complicated” and “Happy Ending," ditched her usual wife-beater and tie ensemble and wore a Vera Wang gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.
Reports from various mags say once the groom had kissed the bride, guests tossed rose petals at the newlyweds as they walked back up the aisle.

After the wedding, guests were to be treated to an outdoor cocktail hour before the reception, including a sit-down dinner, under a tent on the estate. In contrast to the all-white ceremony, the reception will have a red theme, with centerpieces of red roses and other flowers.
Lavigne, 21, and Whibley, 26, have been together for two years, and became engaged in Venice, Italy, in June 2005, while Lavigne was on the last leg of her European tour. Prior to hooking up with Lavine, Whibley was romantically linked to Paris Hilton (then again, who hasn’t been?) While Lavigne hasn’t released any music lately, she’s offered her vocal talents as the voice to a possum in the animated film Over the Hedge. 
I suppose it’s none of our business, but what’s the deal with all these pop stars getting married so young? First Jessica, then Britney, then Christina, then Pink, then Avril. Mandy Moore seems to be the only single gal left… source
