Wondering what to do with your extra day off? We say rent Wordplay, kick back with your favorite snuggle buddy and be glad you're last name isn't Spears. The film presents a highly entertaining journey into the world of Will Shortz, the crossword puzzle editor at The New York Times, who is essentially a genius in comparison to our usual 'infauations.' Many celebrity puzzleheads make cameo appearances including the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart and former president Bill Clinton. Don't want to rent it? Tell us your favorite word puzzle or play and the person with the best twister will get a free copy of the DVD. Don't forget to give us your e-mail in your comments (it won't be visible to site visitors)!
Accepted, the hilariously irreverent comedy hit about a loveable group of misfit slackers who create their own college, comes to DVD on November 14 from the studio that brought you American Pie, Universal Studios Home Entertainment. With a cast of fresh young faces including Justin Long (The Break-Up, Herbie Fully Loaded, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story), Jonah Hill (Click, The 40 Year Old Virgin), Blake Lively (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), Maria Thayer (Hitch), Adam Herschman, and Columbus Short (War of the Worlds) plus veterans Anthony Heald (X Men: Last Stand), Lewis Black (“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”) and Mark Derwin (“Boston Legal”), Accepted is a frat party of a film, complete with raucous and raunchy laughs.
...only wih a lot more violence, scandal and well...drama. If you love Edward Furlong as much as I do (and really who doesn't) and if you're tired of this season's wanna be gangster flicks, you need to get your little bootie to the theatre to see Jimmy and Judy.Co-staring the adorable Rachael Bell, the movie, which has been tagged the "ultimate teenage outcast road movie," follows a couple of oddballs who fall in love and out of control as
they travel across an American landscape dotted with hypocrisy, materialism,
drugs and violence. To be honest, it was the first movie my boo and I watched twice since watching the Pianist more times then I care to admit. Though it was only released in select cities, the flick is dripping with that indie flavor that's so hard to come by these days. Don't believe me? Watch the trailor and see for yourself.
What are you doing Friday? In School for Scoundrels, which is out tonight, Napoleon Dynamite’s Jon Heder plays Roger, a beleaguered New York City meter maid who is plagued by anxiety and low self-esteem. In order to overcome his feelings of inadequacy, Roger enrolls in a top-secret confidence-building class taught by the suavely underhanded Dr. P (Billy Bob Thornton). Aided by his assistant, Lesher (Michael Clarke Duncan), Dr. P uses unorthodox, often dangerous methods, but he guarantees results: Employ his techniques and you will unleash your inner lion.
It's offically Oscar release season, which means its about time to put on your comfy sweater and head to the cinema and catch a movie or two. Sappy as it may seem, my pick of the week is Hollywoodland, which features Oscar winner Adrien Brody, Diane Lane and Bob Hoskins and Ben Affleck. Affleck plays George Reeves, the original Superman who supposedly killed himself mysteriously. Brody plays a almost-lowlife detective paid to investigate the case, discovering a tale of sex, violence and scandal. I predict Brody gets another little gold statue for his performance and even pretending to be 60, Diane looks amazing. Source
That’s right, I said it: Now it's time to go see it 36 times. Step Up is honestly one of the hottest dance movies and ballerina-girl-meet-urban-boy flicks since Save the Last Dance and it features everyone’s favorite arms spread wide, “I’m the king of the world moment.” Superstud Mario shines as a producer-sidekick to hip hop dancer Channing Tatum and the classically inspired Jenna Dewan, who are forced to work together on Jenna’s senior performance when her partner gets hurt. While the flick is predictably silly, and features a ridiculous and uncalled for gang shooting and painful adolescent stereotypes, the dancers and music are amazing and worth your hard earned cash. Six Feet Under star and new mom Rachael Griffiths also stars as a tough but loving art school principal.
My girl Lucy Liu on the set of Watching the Detectives, a indie about a film noir buff, played by Cillian Murphy from Batman and Breakfast on Pluto, has his life turned on end by a femme fatale, Lui, who has a big adventure in mind. She's worth an infatuation for sure. source
So Infatuated is dedicated to providing entertaining "over-analysis" of pop culture, celebrities, the media, music and superstars for its readers. Its editors have no formal medical training, but rely instead on the street psychology and common sense to decode the subconscious messages embedded in candid photos, press statements and outrageous diva behavior. And yes, we are so infatuated with some people.
