Ellen Pompeo's got her bad boy for life

Apparently, Ellen Pompeo has a bit of a bad boy fetish. The Grey's Anatomy star annouced yesterday that she's is getting married to her boyfriend, fellow Bostonian Chris Ivery. According to People, Ivery, who's 37 and a record producer, proposed last Friday -- Pompeo's 37th birthday (who knew she was that old?)-- presenting her with a 3.5-carat, emerald-cut diamond in a platinum setting. According to Boston.com, a decade ago, the attractive Ivery spent some time in the pen, serving 14 months in federal prison for possession of stolen mail and credit card fraud. He was released in 1995.

Damien Rice: A worthy infatuation

Damien Rice will begin a tour of the U.S. December 6 on the West Coast. Rice's live performances, which the New York Times has called "irresistible," will feature material from his highly anticipated album, 9. He will also perform songs from 9 on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" November 9 and on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" November 17. Heffa/Vector/Warner Brothers will release the album November 14. New Couple Alert: LC & Brody!

Just when I thought we were done with these two. And now, for round 2 of the Lauren-Kristin showdown. PEOPLE reports that Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Lauren "LC" Conrad has befriended Brody Jenner of The Princes of Malibu fame. By befriend, I mean in the lovey dovey way. The two set off speculation when they arrived at a fashion show together in West Hollywood last week; they were also spotted twice at Hollywood hot spot Les Deux. "I don't know what you consider dating, but we're seeing each other, we're having a great time with it," Jenner tells PEOPLE. "She's an amazing girl. That's all there is to say. She's fun to be around. She's sweet. She's kind. There's nothing bad to say about her." For her part, LC remains coy, saying, "He's a nice guy." Sounds like a match made in heaven to me, which could make Kristin Cavallari, also of Laguna Beach, a bit, well, mad. Here's the SparkNotes' version: Kristin & LC fought over Stephen on Laguna. My special thanks to So Infatuated reader John S, who informed me that E! Online has actually footage of Aaron Carter proposing to his Playboy gal pal. According to E!, the 18-year-old singer had apparently planned to escort his paramour straight over to the nearest Sin City wedding chapel, but went for the "grand gesture" of an onstage proposal in front of 200 people, during a performance of the Playboy Hollywood Comedy Tour. The duo, who hunkered down at the Palms Casino Resort during their stay in Vegas, said they plan to wed sometime in the next six months. Shotgun wedding? Wild young love? We're totally infatuated!

Eddie Murphy and Melanie B spice up family life

Eddie Murphy takes his five children, ages 4 to 16, at his favorite $10,700-a-night luxury suite at Maui's Four Seasons Hotel every summer for a little time away from LaLa land. This year, he brought he brought along someone special singer Melanie Brown – also known to '90s pop fans as Scary Spice of the Spice Girls – and her 7-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi. Hasselhoff says Princess Di wanted a piece

David Hasselhoff is claiming the late Princess Diana wanted a piece on him...in bed. Last week, the former Baywatch star said the princess was "smitten" with him and "sparks" flew between them when they met in 1993. Hasselhoff, 54, just divorced his wife Pamela Bach, 43, and insists that he and Princess Diana, who tragically died in a 1997 Paris car crash, would have slept together "if circumstances had been different." He said they met at an event in London, when Diana was married to Charles, and she joked to him: "You look much better with your clothes on" to which Hasselhoff replied: "Well Ma'am, so do you." Can you imagine what their babies would have looked like?

DJ AM finds himself yet another pin thin gal

I wouldn't consider Nicole Richie's ex DJ AM or model Alessandra Ambrosio to be celebrities, but their encounter at LAX does seem noteable. You think DJ AM is gonna go for another bag of bones? I thought he broke up with Nicole because she wouldn't eat. You can tell these two are stranger, what with the shaking hands and all. I guess it's not true love --- yet. Source

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo visited family in Cincinnati, Ohio this week, holding true as on of America's most talked-about couples. They sunned, drank some beer, drank some coffee, put on their summer dresses (well, Vanessa did) and did the teeny swim suit dance...
