Oh me, oh my. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If that’s true, we live in a ****ed up world. Cell phone company Oasys Mobile has created a “Mel in Malibu” ringtone with a professional actor impersonating Gibson’s infamous tirade that's shocked and rocked Hollywood. The tirade, free to download, has the potty-mouth bits bleeped out. “We’re starting a series of Scandal Tones that are inspired by celebrities going through a scandal,” Oasys spokeswoman Gina Torres tells The Scoop.
Any other celebs in the company’s ringtone future? “We’re looking towards doing something with Lindsay Lohan,” Torres says. “We’re waiting until she gets hospitalized again and then we’re going to have the sound of an ambulance siren in the background and this husky-voiced Lohan sound-alike blaming it on dehydration. She’s already been hospitalized three times this year, so we figure we won’t have to wait long.”
I’d rather hear the Russell Crowe phone breaking incident, wouldn’t you?

Patrick Swayze loves Mel Gibson

Can we all agree that when it comes to Mel Gibson’s DUI turned alleged hate crimes, the last opinion we care about is that of Dirty Dancing’s Patrick Swayze? (I only say alleged because I haven’t heard the tapes yet…I do in fact believe, in my heart of hearts that Gibson did say many unforgivable things!)
In a rare new PR form where D celebrities come to the defense of A-listers, (think Leah Remni’s claims that she saw Suri) Swayze has joined several of Mel Gibson's celebrity friends in defending the actor, who in a drunken tirade blamed Jews for the world's wars.
Gibson is "a wonderful human being," Swayze told GMTV in an interview being aired Monday.
According to the Washington Post, Swayze, 53, downplayed his friend's drunken outburst, telling GMTV that "people say stupid things when they happen to have a few, and especially if you don't drink any more, or have limited your drinking for a long time and all of a sudden you decide to have one too many with the boys – you are stupid. When you are a pit bull, and you love what you do and you are going to continue to grow, that talent will find its way out.
He added: "Talent deserves to be honored. Hands deserve to be slapped if you do something stupid as well, but don't take it too far."

Jewish groups call for Gibson boycott

Jewish groups have called for Oscar-winner Mel Gibson to be ostracized from Hollywood and investigated for any breach of race hate laws after his drunken anti-Semitic outburst to a Los Angeles police officer. According to reports, Gibson said to his arresting officer, "F***ing Jews. The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." He then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

Gibson issued an apology on Saturday and a retraction of his remarks, which were reportedly captured on tape. The U.S. Jewish Anti-Defamation League said that the apology was not enough and that Gibson should be ostracized by his peers. The group's national director said it appears that the combination of liquor and arrest revealed Gibson's true character. "We believe there should be consequences to bigots and bigotry. One way to combat bigots is to put a price on bigotry.
